Healthcare Services

A charitable dispensary located on the Math premises provides free healthcare services to women and children. Both consultation and medicines are in the dispensary at no cost. Free eye, dental, skin and general medicine camps are also conducted.

Initially, doctors visited voluntarily once every fortnight to check children’s health and treat them. On 8th February 2003, a charitable dispensary was constructed by Mr. Bhola Tandon (a well-wisher) in memory of his mother Smt. Champavathy Tandon who was a regular patron of the Math for many years. The dispensary is located near the gate of the Math and currently operates twice a week. Dedicated lady doctors serve the children of Nivedita Vidyapeetha school and also other economically impoverished women and children from nearby areas. The Champavathy Charitable Trust continues to bear the maintenance costs of the dispensary and the cost of medicines.

A charitable Ayurveda dispensary runs every Sunday at the Math premises from 9.30am – 11.30am. The services of the dispensary are open to all women and children.

Medical camps are also conducted as part of the Rural development project at Junjaramanahalli.
